Cherries

"There cherries grow which none may buy
 Till “Cherry-ripe” themselves do cry."

                                    - by Thomas Campion

Part of a poem I really liked. I thought it went well with these tiny cherry-looking fruits!

CUTE THINGS!

Isn't it CUTE!? These are all my phone chains. I bought I bunch for my special peoples. ^_^ I have a bunch left to give out later. I bought I banana one with a goofy face, but I gave to my friend Leland. The bunny one is definitely my favorite, it's all cute and bunny! The cactus looking one is a Toki Doki character, and the blue, mad looking one, is a Tora Dora character. He's all mad! Heehee! Three is better than one!

Trip to NYC Part 4: Staton Island: Scholar Garden

For out FINAL stop, we went to Staton Island, to a Chinese scholar garden. It was absolutely a must see! Upon entering the garden, there was a bamboo tunnel. It was so cool I had to tape it:

This is the outside of the scholar garden. It had fish in a pond, that the Japanese call "Koi" but the Chinese call "knowing fish" they fallowed us all around the garden, hoping for food. See them down there? Aren't they cute?

In the inside. there was a whole other side of the pond, and a room like so - where the scholars would meet and gather around to discuss. Or where the scholar of the garden would go to be in quiet to work. The design is beautiful no? We went inside, but the outside is by far the only pretty part of it. Otl. Then there was this amazing mosaic outside, it was made of so many things I could not imagine a mosaic could have: the white parts are made of a rice bowl, the green and dark brown (black) parts are made of beer bottles, and the redish brick colored parts are actually made from bricks. It's a beautiful mosaic of a crane in a garden. Some angry lady smashed part of it. Shame on her. for ruining such pretty art!
After this garden, all we did, was go home... I slept. And then got a call from Sam Pettinati... that was strange. Oh well :) We got back around 6:30. I was so tired, I fell asleep doing homework!

Trip to NYC Part 3: FOOD AT LAST!

Finally! We got CHINESE FOOD! Yummy! (I love Japanese more though, sushi <3) Anyway, we went to a restaurant called "Ollies" they were really fast with their service, so we got to eat speedy quick. Though Tr. Li and the waitress kept having a long conversation, so it took a while for my table to order.

But it was all worth the wait! Because the food came, and it was delicious! I sat at a table with Ariel, Young In, Grace, Juny, Tr. Li and a few other girls I don't know,  but they seemed sweet. I liked them! Doesn't it all look yum?

Trip to NYC Part 2: Liao Yibai Gallery

I have to say, this was probably the most amazing thing I have seen! This is second gallery we wents to! This man, Liao Yibai, made all these statues out of stainless steal, but first made a model out of clay and then molded it in plastic, and then used stainless steal (something like that). But it was gorgeous! The statues were amazing to look at, mostly of birds, they were my favorite. Very different from Jiang's work. He called it "Real Fake" (his work I mean) because he took logos from two different famous umm... logos? Haha I forget the word, but he took two logos and made them into one thing. (The tree to the left, must have been the most impressive things there, it took him around 16 months to complete)!

Trip to NYC Part 1: Jiang Huan Gallerey

Well. Our Mandarin class decided to take trip to NYC! Yay! We saw so many amazing and beautiful things. Our first stop was a Chinese art show, by Jiang Huan. It was interesting because he used oil paints and not ink. All the models were beautiful in his paintings, and my favorite one, was of a girl holding a cat. According to Tr. Yen, (other Mandarin teacher) the girl was a race car driver. She doesn't look it! O_o (Oh by the way, we were allowed to take picture). Most of the model were same girls, but some were different, and that made things really cool. It was also cool because he used more Chinese style, but fused with American style. His paintings were gorgeous! This picture to the left, is my favorite one. Of girl with cat. I can't believe she is a race car driver!

At this point we are all very hungry, and Tr. Li is telling me I have to collect Mandarin words for tomorrow. So I ask my friends Ariel and Grace, who are in higher class than me, and so they decide to teach me how to say "your dog ate my banana." Here they are (to the right) saying it:

They're so silly! I love them both! Well... then was all left this gallery and moved on to another one, which I will post about in a few minutes. :)

Pretty!

My friend Cass has really cool magnets, so I decided to take picture, and it came out all cute and cool like this: Isn't it pretty? All shiny and round. <3

I Hate Mondays...

Is true. Mondays are so long! BORING. They even have gross lunch :(
See? -sigh- SUSHI DAY TOMORROW. Only I wont be at school tomorrow, because Mandarin class is going to NYC! Yay!

The  fun part of day was Mandarin (and after school ended) because, is just really fun. Tr. Li is so funny! I very much love her! DokiDoki! She says funny things
In this video, Tr. Li is trying to add numbers in Chinese. (I have permission to post and record this) she sounds silly to me. But to others is normal. I hope she will always be my Mandarin teacher.

Also! The results of spirit day was spoken! I was not there (sick) for spirit day, but I WAS on team brown... we lost. Gold won. But that is okay! There is always next time! This is the annual trophy the winning team gets! Pretty isn't it? Brown will get one next time! Heehee, I'm such a weirdo, taking pictures of everything.

I saw India!

Saturday: I went to Rittenhouse Square to meet up with camp friend India Shill, (Shindia Ill) heehee. I haven't gotten to see her out from school, and when I do, she has lot homework. So it was a very exciting day!
While I wait for her, I saw the cutest twins, one girl, one boy. They were fighting over a small plastic starbucks coffee cup. When the father gave it to the girl, the boy started crying, and when the father gave to boy, the girl cried. And when he took it and started to drink, the both started screaming. It was very funny! I wanted to video it, but that seemed creepy.
But then INDIA came! Yay! She is crazy midget! Heehee. We walked around the square and across the square for a while. She found a flower pot, and picked flower from it, and put each in our hair. Bad India! (India and Me in picture, left to right). We went to drug store, and bought Hello Pandas. YUM! They're so tasty! And then we got Koala something. They were not as good. Still YUM!

After that, we sat on the top of the Rittenhouse fountain, and ate our snakes. We also saw the CUTEST puppy(not so much) swimming in the fountain. He was all fluffy and cute and powpy! I wanted to take him home!
That Saturday day was really fun! I love you India! Oh and "HEEELLOOO?" <3

Thursday lunch!

At lunch on Thursday, we played hockey with a Snapple cap! :D We are the coolest high schoolers ever no? If I can get the video system here to work, then I will show video:

Anyways, of course as always, Emmi only ate chips. I am starting to worry about her, seriously :) And now she had Clara doing it too. Oh no! My friends don't eat. I feel like a piggy when I sit with them, cause I eat the whole cafeteria... orls.
My Lunch:                                                                   Their Lunch:

Do you see what I mean? Crazy no? They are silly!! I sat with my friends Juny, Emmi, Clara, Matthew, Grace and Afeerah! I love them alls!
This is Juny and Emmi (right to left). Aren't they adorable!? <3 I was so jealous of Juny's hair clip! I was going to as to take picture, since it so cute! But that seemed a little weird. Heehee.

TWIN DAY! (and more cute things)

It was twin day Thursday! (only nao did I have time to mention it though...) Me and the other Cora dress up together as twins! We dominate! Cause we looked amazing! I wore my cutest shoes too! I'm very proud of them. They are comfy too! Well... if you have small feet like me! (I am a 6). I was the female twin, and other Cora was like my brother twin! Yay!

My friend Mya brought her cute panda bear! I wanted to stealz it! It was so puffy and cute and PANDA-y that I almost could not help myself. I seriously need a panda. Heehee.

ISN'T IT CUTE!?
